Welcome to the Website of Park View Alpacas. We are pleased you have dropped in for a visit with us. Park View Alpacas is one of North America’s most prestigious alpaca ranches. It is owned and operated by David, Nancy and Nick TenHulzen. Our ranch is located on a hill just outside Portland, Oregon. The picturesque setting with tremendous views makes an ideal place to raise these wonderful, magical, and mystical animals. Nancy works with the alpacas full-time, handling all of the day-to-day operations, interactions with the staff, dealings with clients, and the all-important support of our previous clients and anyone who needs advice and help in this industry. David is both a physician and dentist and maintains a full-time (and then some) practice as a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He participates in breeding decisions, health care issues, and alpaca shows. In addition to training in Medicine and Dentistry, he has a bachelor’s degree in Zoology with training in genetics. This knowledge of genetics has been inherent in our demand for quality, our insistence on documented proven pedigree, and in our ability to produce one of the most award-winning alpaca herds in North America. Nick, who is a teenager, participates and assists in the operations of both the ranch and the business of alpacas. He is the owner of several spectacular animals and has done well showing his own animals under his own ranch name: Future Generation Alpacas.
